Thattekad, Munnar & Chinnar - Kerala Camp Report

Dear Nature Lovers

OikoEssence along with its participants had a lovely time in Kerala. Days were full of observing Biodiversity, learning local culture and off-course devouring local food.

Kerala has almost recovered from the flood effects and the routine has started normally.

During this camp we visited Thattekad, Chinnar wildlife Sanctury , eravikulum National ParkEand Munnar. The performances we saw of Kathakali and Kalaripayyattu (Considered as oldest Marshal Art) were amazing.

The forest is charming that supports a vast variety Flora and Fauna. We visited tropical evergreen, deciduous and Shola forest types.  We also got to see the remaining mass flowering of neel-kurunji.
