Kumbhalgarh & Udaipur camp report

OikoEssence conducted nature camp to Kumbhagarh Wildlife Sanctuary from 10th to 14th December, 2016. We visited birding area withing & near Udaipur such as pichola lake & minara lake.
Lots of Flamingos, Pelicans and Bar headed geese etc.

Kumbhalgarh fort makes you wonder. How they managed to built-up such huge and continuous walls at that time? The length of the wall is 36kms. It offers a spectacular view of Aravalli ranges.

The Kumbhagarh sanctuary is nearby the fort.Which is really beautiful. It gives a true feel aravalli range. We saw sambar deers, Spotted deers, Nilgai and of-course few birds.

Here are some photographs clicked during the camp

  1. THE TRIP WAS NICE NO DOUBT,BUT THOUGH THE NAME OF THE CAMP WAS KUMBHALGADH,WE SAW AND PHOTOGRAPHED MANY BIRDS IN AND AROIND UDAYPUR CITY ITSELF.KUMBHALGADH FORT IS TOO GOOD NO DOUBT,BUT ONE HAS TO HAVE THE STAMINA AND PATIENCE TO CLIMB/MOUNT THE STEEP GRADIENT.
KUMBHALGADH SANCTUARY IS A BEAUTIFUL JUNGLE,IF ONE WISHES TO SEE ANY WILD LIFE HERE HE SHOULD BETTER VISIT IN SUMMER,WHEN THE FOLIAGE IS MINIMUM AND THERE ARE MORE CHANCES OF SEEING WILD LIFE OR BIRDS IN THE WILD.
